M\u00e5nga konsumenter prioriterar fortfarande l\u00e5ga priser och bekv\u00e4mlighet framf\u00f6r h\u00e5llbarhet och milj\u00f6ansvar. Denna inst\u00e4llning g\u00f6r det sv\u00e5rt f\u00f6r f\u00f6retagen att driva p\u00e5 en gr\u00f6nare konsumtionskultur, trots att medvetenheten om milj\u00f6fr\u00e5gor \u00e4r st\u00f6rre \u00e4n n\u00e5gonsin.<\/p>\n<p>L\u00e5gprisbutikers expansion \u00e4r en tydlig mottrend mot de \u00f6kande h\u00e5llbarhetskraven fr\u00e5n samh\u00e4llet. Jag t\u00e4nker exempelvis p\u00e5 Jula, Rusta, H&amp;M, Flying Tiger, Dollarstore, Normal med flera. Deras aff\u00e4rsmodell bygger p\u00e5 en oh\u00e5llbar \"slit och sl\u00e4ng\"-mentalitet, vilket st\u00e5r i skarp kontrast till konsumenternas retorik om vikten av milj\u00f6h\u00e4nsyn. F\u00f6retagen st\u00e5r inf\u00f6r dilemmat att antingen anpassa sig till den r\u00e5dande trenden och tumma p\u00e5 h\u00e5llbarhet, eller att f\u00f6rs\u00f6ka f\u00f6r\u00e4ndra konsumenternas beteende genom att erbjuda mer milj\u00f6v\u00e4nliga alternativ.<\/p>\n<p>Det blir en balansg\u00e5ng att b\u00e5de tillgodose marknadens efterfr\u00e5gan och samtidigt ta ett \u00f6kat ansvar f\u00f6r milj\u00f6n. Att bortse fullst\u00e4ndigt fr\u00e5n milj\u00f6trenden \u00e4r dock inget h\u00e5llbart alternativ p\u00e5 l\u00e5ng sikt, d\u00e5 medvetenheten och kraven fr\u00e5n konsumenter, regleringar och omv\u00e4rlden st\u00e4ndigt \u00f6kar.
